Little Miss Sunshine was shot on a relatively
low budget and generated a lot of hype when it came in 2006. Little Miss
Sunshine was a filmed loved by many but why it’s so popular is beyond me.
Although a lot of people loved the feel-good factor or the goofy characters it did not resonate with me. The real tragedy is that so many of us paid to see this movie although at the time it seemed logical due to the great cast Alan Arkin, Greg Kinnear, Steve Carell’s and Toni Collette.

Here
is a quick summary of the plot. Olive is a little girl with a dream: winning
the Little Miss Sunshine contest. Her family wants her dream to come true, but
they are so burdened with their own quirks, neuroses, and problems that they
can barely make it through a day without some disaster befalling them. I think
the idea of the movie was good but the execution was so cringey and overdone
for me I could not appreciate the plot. So unfortunately it is a miss from me.
