The title of a
movie plays a big role when one is deciding on a movie to watch. Any movie with
the word ‘disaster’ in the title is setting itself a low standard. This movie
could go one of two ways; it could either blow it out of the park with how
amazing it is or be a complete train wreck.
Unfortunately,
this was a complete train wreck. I should have known from the fact that Kim
Kardashian was cast as an actress in the movie. I understand that they’re
trying to poke fun at pop culture, but she is the exact reason why people poke
fun at pop culture.
Let’s get into
the storyline, not that there is much to tell. The movie follows Lisa, and two
other friends whilst they attempt to flee man-made and natural disasters. While
they’re on this journey, they encounter characters such as Hannah Montana,
Indiana Jones, Michael Jackson, and the Love Guru along with other pop culture
characters.
The rating is
PG, however, the movie does have strong adult language and innuendos. Although
this movie does provide a few laughs, it’s not worth sitting down to watch a
spoof of movies when it would be more worthwhile to just watch the originals.
